PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the effect of noise suppression processing and to obtain a visually excellent image.SOLUTION: First, an input image is subjected to band division to generate a high band image including no dc component. Further, a plurality of reduced images each including a dc component and having different resolution are generated, and noise suppression processing is applied to the high band image and the reduced images. Then, the reduced images are magnified and repeatedly combined to acquire an output image by finally adding a composite image and the high band image. In addition, a composition ratio is calculated on the basis of an edge amount detected from the reduced image. |
