PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can reduce frequency of delay of a start of a subsequent recording job having a first medium accommodation section as the same feeding source on the grounds of operation for moving the first medium accommodation section from a feeding position toward a taking-out position after completion of a recording job.SOLUTION: A computer 70 in a printer 11 is provided with a cassette control section 83. The cassette control section 83 drives a transportation motor 43 via a motor driver 74 and moves an upper stage cassette 17 between a feeding position and a taking-out position by its power being transmitted to the upper stage cassette 17 via a power transmission switching section 76. The cassette control section 83 causes a cassette timer 92 to perform time measurement until an elapsed period of time from printing job completion timing reaches first stand-by time T1. The cassette control section 83 drives the transportation motor 43 and moves the upper stage cassette 17 from the feeding position to the taking-out position when the first stand-by time T1 elapses. |
