PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse stress applied on a seam at the tail end of outer peripheral sewing during development of an air bag.SOLUTION: A side air bag device, which includes an air bag 11 and an inflator, is included in a vehicle to develop between an occupant and a door in emergency. The air bag 11 of the side air bag device is configured such that the outer peripheries of cloth panels 12a and 12b located inside and outside the vehicle are sewn with reinforcing pieces of cloth 15a to 15d arranged between the cloth panels 12a and 12b to form a bag shape, and the tail ends 13a of outer peripheral sewing 13 are separated from each other to form a vent hole 14. The tail ends 13a of outer peripheral sewing 13 are folded, and the reinforcing pieces of cloth 15a to 15d are also arranged at positions including the folded parts 13b. Thus, since stress applied on a seam near the vent hole is dispersed during development of the air bag, a problems of tearing of the cloth panel constituting the air bag near the vent hole is prevented. |
