PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine that reduces power consumption in the whole washing and drying operation without deteriorating a finishing condition of clothing after a finish of drying.SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine comprises: a washing/dewatering tub which accommodates clothing therein; an outer tank which includes the washing/dewatering tub; a motor which drives the washing/dewatering tub; a housing which supports the outer tank; and blower means which sends air to the washing/dewatering tub. The washing and drying machine further comprises means for switching a direction of an air to be sent from the blower means to the washing/dewatering tub, and switches the direction of the air depending on a rotation speed of the washing/dewatering tub.
