PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus using a transfer sheet, in which color misregistration is prevented from worsening even when the transfer sheet is excessively heated.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to control a use length of a transfer spring 17a by controlling rotation of a cam 45a and displacing a transfer spring holding member 18a in order to control the pressure applied to an intermediate transfer belt by a transfer sheet 5a. That is, color misregistration of the color image forming apparatus is suppressed by controlling the pressure applied by the transfer sheet 5a in accordance with the temperature of the transfer sheet 5a detected by a thermistor 49a and by reducing the applied pressure when the temperature of the transfer sheet 5a is high. |
