PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and stable, high-yield process for producing acrolein, acrylic acid, methacrolein and methacrylic acid, which can, when catalytically oxidizing propylene, isobutylene or the like in a gas phase, avoid a phenomenon where an abnormal reaction is caused by considerable increase in temperature of a catalyst loaded in a reaction tube at an inlet side of a raw material than that at an outlet side of the raw material gas.SOLUTION: There is provided a production process, wherein catalyst and catalyst loading specifications are designed so that a specific condition of 0.5≤Cmax-Ccrs is satisfied, wherein Cmax represents a rate of raw material conversion at which a yield of a desired product becomes maximum; and Ccrs represents a rate of raw material conversion at which, when a maximum temperature of a catalyst layer Zin is denoted by Tin and the maximum temperature of a catalyst layer Zout is denoted by Tout, a magnitude relation of Tin and Tout reverses. |
