Disclosed is an indoor unit for an air conditioner in which an inlet structure, an outlet structure, and an air flow path structure are improved and a wind direction can be controlled so that operation efficiency can be improved, noise can be reduced, and the indoor unit can be miniaturized. The indoor unit for an air conditioner comprises: a housing including a front panel and a rear panel, wherein the front panel has multiple openings, and the rear panel is coupled to the rear side of the front panel and has multiple inlets; at least one heat exchanger arranged inside the housing; a mixed flow fan unit including a diffuser having an outlet exposed to the front side of the front panel through the opening, a duct coupled to the diffuser and guiding air, a mixed flow fan forcibly sending the air from the inlets to the outlet, and a driving motor driving the mixed flow fan, wherein the air guided to the outlet heat-exchanges with the heat exchanger after sucked into the inlet, and the duct is coupled to be rotated on a fixing frame installed at the housing so that the mixed flow fan unit can rotate on the housing.
