摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device for a rotary electric machine which can combine reduction of a switching loss with preventing a nearby person from being concerned about noise caused by a carrier frequency even when the noise is generated.SOLUTION: An inverter device 1 for a rotary electric machine includes: frequency setting means 105 that can switch between carrier frequency variable control for setting a carrier frequency of a carrier signal used for driving switching elements depending on a current phase of each phase of the rotary electric machine, for each predetermined electrical angle, and carrier frequency fixing control for setting the carrier frequency of the carrier signal as a constant value at all electric angles; and signal generation means 104 and 105 generating drive signals for the switching elements by using the carrier signal having the set carrier frequency. The frequency setting means 105 sets the carrier frequency of each phase by the carrier frequency variable control when a rotational speed of the rotary electric machine is equal to or more than a predetermined rotational speed, and sets the carrier frequency of each phase by the carrier frequency fixing control when the rotational speed of the rotary electric machine is less than the predetermined rotational speed.
