PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a dictionary making highly accurate recognition processing possible.SOLUTION: A control method of an image processor for detecting objects in image data and managing them comprises: input processing for inputting image data; detection processing for detecting an object based on the image data input in the input processing; state determination processing for determining whether or not the object detected in the detection processing is in a bad state according to a prescribed reference; face feature amount extraction processing for extracting a feature amount from the object; and a dictionary registration processing for registering in a dictionary the feature amount extracted in the face feature amount extraction processing. In the dictionary registration processing, when the result of the determination in the state determination processing is determined that the state of the object is bad, the dictionary registration processing does not execute the registration of the feature amount of the object in the dictionary.
