PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device capable of measuring back gauge in addition to prescribed measurement items of a wheel without using a laser displacement meter.SOLUTION: The measuring device comprises: laser beam transmission sections 13a, 13b, 16a, and 16b for transmitting a stream of laser beam to a tread of each wheel; laser beam reception sections 14a and 14b for detecting laser transmission from the laser beam transmission sections toward a diameter center of the wheels; tread-surface cameras 15a, 15b, 17a, and 17b for photographing an image of the outside of the tread of the wheels and an image of the inside of the tread of the wheels when laser transmission from the laser beam transmission sections 13a and 13b toward the diameter center of the wheels is detected; and a back gauge measurement section 21 for calculating a distance between a right wheel and a left wheel on the basis of absolute location coordinates at reference positions in profile images of irradiated areas of the wheels photographed by the tread-surface cameras 15a, 15b, 17a, and 17b. |
