PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a laminate excellent in adhesion of a metal layer and cleanliness of the surface of the metal layer.SOLUTION: A method for producing a laminate comprising: a ground layer forming step for forming a ground layer containing a polymer having conjugated diene compound units that may be hydrogenated and metal oxide particle with average diameter of 400 nm or less; a catalyst providing step for providing a plating catalyst or its precursor on the ground layer by making an alkaline plating catalyst solution containing the plating catalyst or its precursor contact with the ground layer; and a plating step for forming a metal layer on the ground layer by plating on the ground layer provided with the plating catalyst or its precursor.
