PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering apparatus that is easily assembled to a vehicle body by preventing excessive rotation of a lower bracket in a state before being assembled to the vehicle body and has high support rigidity with respect to a steering column after being assembled to the vehicle body.SOLUTION: An engagement portion of a housing 50 with a tilt pivot shaft 70 is provided behind a rotation axis 54 of an electric motor 52, a pair of projected portions 92 projecting downward with predetermined spacing in a longitudinal direction is formed at a lower side end of at least one of side plates of a lower bracket 20, a protrusion 94 projecting more outward in a vehicle width direction than the pair of projected portions 92 between the projections 92 is formed in the housing 50, and the pair of projected portions 92 and the protrusion 94 constitute a rotation regulation mechanism for regulating rotation of the lower bracket 20 with respect to a steering column with the tilt pivot shaft 70 used as a rotation center in a state where an electric power steering apparatus 1 has not yet been assembled to a vehicle body to a predetermined range. |
