PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a surface mounted inductor capable of reducing the size.SOLUTION: A magnetic body 11 is formed by pressure molding a magnetic material 16 containing magnetic powder and resin mixed together with a coil 12 having a wound part 13 on which a flat rectangular wire is wound, a lead portion 14 extending from the wound part 13, and a pull-out portion 15 connected to the lead portion 14. The magnetic material 16 uses granulated magnetic powder. The average diameter of the granulated magnetic material is larger than the distance between the inner wall of a die 17 and the pull-out portion 15 and is smaller than the distance between the wound part 13 and the pull-out portion 15.
