VERSATILE FOLDING BOOK HOLDER

A book holder is provided for supporting a book in an open position with two pages visible. The holder has two generally planar cover supports (2) diverge from a spine (3) of the book holder and a platform (6) operatively locates a lower edge of a book in the holder between the cover supports (2). Page holders (21) retain pages of a book in an open condition relative to each of the cover supports (2). A removable handle (11) is provided for cooperation with at least one separate formation provided on the book holder such that by selective cooperation with the removable handle (11) it can be used in at least two different positions to support the book holder. In one position manual support of the book holder by means of the handle (11) is facilitated and in another position support of the book holder on a generally horizontal support surface with the handle (11) forming at least one foot for the book holder is facilitated.
