PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, such as replacing a web, reducing an interfusion of an air bubble, and the like.SOLUTION: A nozzle face cleaning device and an image recording device includes: a wiping member 110; cleaning solution applying means to apply a cleaning solution to the wiping member 110; pressing means 118 to press and contact the wiping member 110 to which the cleaning solution is applied to a nozzle face 30; travel drive means for the wiping member; and wiping means for moving the wiping member 110 relatively to a discharge head 16 to wipe. The cleaning solution applying means is composed of a cleaning solution supplying channel 350 and a cleaning solution applying nozzle 300. The cleaning solution applying nozzle 300 is provided in a case 112 in which the wiping member 110, the travel drive means for the wiping member, and the pressing means 118 are integrated. The cleaning solution supplying channel 350 is opened to an atmosphere at a connection between the cleaning solution supplying channel 350 and the cleaning solution applying nozzle 300. |
