PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability, low heat build up performance and grip performance on a wet road surface in a good balance.SOLUTION: A rubber composition contains 1 to 25 pts.mass of a modified liquid polybutadiene having functional groups including a heteroatom, obtained by hydrogenation of polybutadiene having 50 mol% or more of 1,2-vinyl bound amount, and 30 to 120 pts.mass of silica, based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber constituent containing 30 pts.mass or more of a modified styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having functional groups including the heteroatom. A pneumatic tire by using the rubber composition is also provided. |
