PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell division phase tracing unit and a cell division phase tracing program which can trace with a high accuracy a process of cell division shown in, for example, a cells image group collected using a bright field microscope.SOLUTION: A cell division phase tracing unit comprises: a cell recognition unit 110 detecting a cell area where cells are shown in a cells image; a mother cell detecting unit 120 detecting a mother cell area corresponding to a mother cell just before cell division; a search range setting unit 130 setting a search range to search a daughter cell area corresponding to daughter cells produced by cell division on the basis of the detected mother cell area; and a daughter cell determination unit 160 determining about the cell image collected after a time point when the mother cell area was detected whether the cell area is the daughter cell area on the basis of a duplicated area of the cell area and the search range. |
