PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain air bag for a vehicle and its mounting structure, capable of adjusting an inflation mode of a curtain air bag with small parts count and simple assembling work, sufficiently securing a thickness when inflated particularly at a desired position in the fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle and also suitably setting the position, and thereby preferably restricting a crewman.SOLUTION: A curtain air bag 1 for a vehicle includes: a bag-shaped bag body 11 containing a first panel 9 and a second panel 10 having substantially the same peripheral shape, and formed by joining circumference edges P, Q, R of both panels; and an additional base fabric piece 16 for forming a bag 17 inflatable to the width direction of the vehicle in at least one panel 9. The panel provided with the additional base fabric piece includes an opening hole 18 for bringing the inside of the bag body into communication with the inside of the bag body at the position covered by the additional base fabric piece, and the additional base fabric piece is joined only to one panel. |
