The invention relates to a dental implant (1) which is made of a ceramic material, in particular zirconium dioxide, the outer surface thereof being designed to anchor into the jaw bone, and at least the sub-areas of the outer surface (4) of the implant being covered with a glass matrix and structured and functionalised by means of an abrasive and/or subtractive method. According to the conditioning method, a thin layer of a silicate glass is applied to the sub-area of the surface of the implant which is to be conditioned and is fixed by ceramic firing, and the thus produced layer is subsequently abrasively and/or subtractively treated. In order to carry out said method, a silicate glass ceramic solder which can also contain finely dispersed ceramic particles is used. The subsequent treatment takes place by sandblasting, acid etching etc or by a combination thereof. The thus produced layer (6) can then be functionalised for example, by means of a plasma spray method, using a thin titanium layer (7) which can also be subsequently provided with a calcium phosphate phase. |
