The present invention relates to a priority-based contention period channel access control system and a method thereof and, specifically, to a priority-based contention period channel access control system and a method thereof reducing complexity in a WBAN MAC protocol which accords a level according to the importance of data and transmitting a level disorder of data, whose transmission is delayed in a previous beacon period, preferentially in the next beacon period. The present invention divides the contention period into priority based sub-periods and accords a channel-accessible priority in each sub-period, thereby inducing distribution of nodes attempting to access the channel at the same time and reducing a transmission delay, power consumption and a collision rate. Additionally, the present invention can enhance portability to a wireless network using the contention based channel access method.
