The hydrodynamic tranducer (100) has housing shells (120,130) that are arranged rotatbly about a common axis (140) of rotation. Drive unit in the housing shell (120) is located remote from drive unit in the housing shell (130). A length of housing shell (120) is smaller than the length of housing shell (130) along the rotational axis (140). A material thickness of housing shell (130) is smaller than material thickness of housing shell (120).
