The present invention relates to a connector and a connector assembly using the same. A connector (10) of the present invention includes a housing (12) forming an outer appearance, and a joint terminal (20), a joint connection terminal (30) and a direct connection terminal (30') are installed within the housing (12). The joint terminal (20) is formed with a joint body (22) and first and second combining parts (26, 28) protruding from the joint body, and a press-fit part (24) is formed in a direction to which the second combining part (28) protrudes. The joint connection terminal (30) is combined to the second combining part (28) of the joint terminal (20). A counterpart terminal (40) to be combined to the terminal (10) includes a counterpart housing (42) forming an outer appearance, and multiple counterpart terminals (50) are provided within the counterpart housing (42). The counterpart terminal is electrically connected to the first combining part (26) of the joint terminal (20) or the direct connection terminal (30') depending on a role of the counterpart terminal. A seal (54) is installed inside the counterpart terminal (40). According to the present invention, the connector (10) can perform a circuit connecting function and a signal transmission function at the same time since the connector (10) has the joint terminal (20) and the direct connection terminal (30') in the interior of the connector. In addition, when the connector (10) is installed at a panel (36), the counterpart terminal (40) can be waterproof only by the seal (54) if a gap between the panel (36) and the connector (10) is sealed off using a gasket (34). |
