PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-wheel pitching machine configured to provide a desired straight ball when pitching a ball, and having an improved life even when configured to provide a desired straight ball. SOLUTION: The three-wheel pitching machine includes a pair of right and left upper rotating wheels 6 and 7 provided in an area above a substantially horizontal imaginary axis 14, and a lower rotating wheel 8 provided below the imaginary axis 14, when viewed along the imaginary axis 14. The rotating wheels 6-8 are rotated R about rotating axes 3-5 extending tangent to an imaginary circle 15 substantially about the imaginary axis 14, respectively. When a ball 21 is put among the outer peripheral surfaces 6a-8a of the rotating wheels 6-8 being rotated R, respectively, the ball 21 is pitched forward. When the ball 21 is held among the outer peripheral surfaces 6a-8a of the rotating wheels 6-8, a contact area S2 between the ball 21 and the outer peripheral surface 8a of the lower rotating wheel 8, is larger than contact areas S1 between the ball 21 and the outer peripheral surfaces 6a and 7a of the upper rotating wheels 6 and 7.
