<p>Provided is a solar cell. The solar cell comprises a substrate; a transparent conducting oxide formed on the substrate; and at least one light-absorbing layer formed on the transparent conducting oxide and containing a chalcopyrite-based compound. According to the present invention, a compound thin film solar cell represented by CIGS (Cu-In-Ga-Se) can maintain high photoconversion efficiency and obtain price competitiveness through element composition of a solar absorbing layer by replacing elements used for the solar cell with low-priced elements (Cu, Sn) to reduce a unit cost of the solar cell generation.
