An image providing system and a method thereof are provided. The image providing method comprises the steps of: transmitting a first video with an original resolution to an external device at a first resolution; receiving region information about a region of interest of the first video, displayed at the first resolution in the external device, from the external device; determining a region corresponding to the region of interest in the first video with the original resolution based on the region information; converting a part of the first video with the original resolution into a second video; and transmitting the second video to the external device at the first resolution.
