A preparation for addition to animal feeding stuffs is made by spray-drying a mixture of cereal or leguminous flour, starch, or other edible farinaceous or cereal product with an aqueous solution or suspension of one or more of the nutritionally desirable substances: essential amino acids, salts of iron, preferably ferrous salts, of copper, cobalt and manganese; iodides not already included in these salts, e.g. potassium iodide, containing also, if desired, vitamins, e.g. vitamins A and D as occurring in fish liver oil or synthetically produced, carotene, vitamin B1 (aneurin); vitamin B2 (riboflavin or lactoflavin); vitamin C (ascorbic acid), added if desired in a fruit juice concentrate; vitamin E, synthetically produced or as in wheat germ oil; vitamin K1 or K2; nicotinic acid (niacin) or its amide. The mixture may contain a substance exerting an antioxidant effect on the flour or the like, e.g. soya bean flour, oat flour, quinol.
