The hinge device has rotatable clamps (107-110) mounted on fixing flanges (101, 102) for fixing a cover or a seat that is joined with a cavity-shaped arresting groove as a single component. An arresting member is formed as an arresting rod (106) that provides spring action acting in a radial direction with respect to a rotational axis. The rod is arranged such that the rod rotates when an arresting groove (107a) is engaged to and disengaged from the rod to prevent a relative motion between outer surfaces of the rod. |
