The present invention relates to a method for packing rice, and more specifically, to a packaging method for minimizing damage to rice and sustaining flavor of rice. The packaging method according to the present invention fills a packing container with nitrogen or a mixture gas of nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Particularly, the mixture gas of nitrogen and carbon dioxide consists of 80-60% of nitrogen and 20-40% of carbon dioxide.
