The present invention relates to a tap water saving device allowing cold water to be utilized as flushing water for a flush toilet bowl, wherein the cold water comes out of a faucet for hot/cold water prior to hot water when a user uses the hot water using the faucet for hot/cold water. The tap water saving device of the present invention has either manual water flow conversion units (30, 30') or automatic water flow conversion units (300, 300') installed at the middle part of hot water feeding pipes (11, 21) which are respectively connected to a hot/cold water faucet (10) for a washstand and a hot/cold water faucet (20) for a bath and having inlet/outlet parts (31, 31') and converted water outlet parts (32), and a supplement water tank (50) capable of supplementing the toilet tank (41) of the flush toilet bowl (40) with the flushing water is connected to the converted water outlet parts (32) of either the manual water flow conversion units (30, 30') or the automatic water flow conversion units (300, 300') by a water transferring pipe (51). Therefore, the flow of water fed to the hot/cold water faucet (10) for a washstand and the hot/cold water faucet (20) for a bath is temporarily blocked by either the manual water flow conversion units (30, 30') or the automatic water flow conversion units (300, 300'), the water is transferred to the supplement water tank (50), and then the supplement water (W) of the supplement water tank (50) is utilized as the flushing water or is used as water for living so that tap water is saved. |
