PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for session management of streaming media.SOLUTION: The system and method are configured to: receive a first request for a first video stream from a client (302); generate a token on the basis of the first request and at least one parameter associated with the client (304); validate the token on the basis of at least one rule associated with the client (306); and, after the validation, provide the first video stream to the client (312). Upon receiving a subsequent second request for a second video stream (316), the system and method validate a second token on the basis of the first video stream (306), terminate the first video stream and provide the second video stream to the client (310, 312). |
