This display input device has: a panel-like imaging optical element disposed at the top of a case having an open upper surface in a prescribed position of the upper surface opening of the case; and a flat panel display mounting base that is disposed at the bottom of the case, corresponding to the imaging optic element, in such a manner as to be inclined at a prescribed angle with respect to the imaging optical element. An image displayed on the flat panel display is imaged as a spatial image in a position away from the imaging optical element. Moreover, a touch input device is disposed outside of the case. The touch input device converts an instruction input from an operator to an instruction signal and transmits the instruction signal to a control means of the flat panel display, enabling the spatial image, which is projected in space, to be manipulated. |
