PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption board produced by fixing strongly active charcoal particles having high specific surface area to each other through a polyvinyl alcohol resin which is a raw material having small environmental load.SOLUTION: A absorption board is produced by binding particles including that of active charcoal derived from chaffs to each other through a polyvinyl alcohol resin, wherein the active charcoal is produced by treating chaffs with an alkali solution followed by an activation treatment and the silicon content of the active charcoal is 0.5 to 6 wt%.
