The present invention relates to an adapter for preventing the gas leakage of a gas cutting machine and a method for preventing gas leakage using the adapter capable of preventing an accident of gas leakage caused by the connection of a header and a gas hose and facilitating management for each work by preparing and connecting a separate sealed and signed adapter for each work when a plurality of gas hoses and a header for distribution in a work place are combined. The present invention is an adapter connected between a gas hose connected to the gas cutter to supply gas and a header connected to the gas hose to distribute and supply gas to be attached or detached and is an adapter for preventing gas leakage having a worker name signature part so as to be signed on the front surface of the adapter. Further, a method for preventing gas leakage using the adapter includes: a first step of separating the adapter from the gas hose and the header after the cutting work is finished by a work with the gas cutting machine; and a second step signing the signature part of the adapter on a work management register with the adapter after the first step.
