<p>The method involves automatically or manually activating a magnetic rail brake device for introducing a brake test. Level switches of a control unit (4) are alerted, and the magnetic rail brake device is exited in an upper end position. A lowering cylinder (5) is switched from the control unit to a lowering process with pressurized air after exceeding a testing time period. An active current of a rail brake is switched by a control unit. The cylinder is ventilated through the control unit for obtaining the rail brake using a restoring force of return springs in the upper end position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for checking an observe of a required distance between field coils of an eddy current brake for rail vehicles and a rail surface (2) a magnetic rail brake for rail vehicles (3) an eddy current brake for rail vehicles.</p> |
