PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner and an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a light source unit from shifting from a desired position when a light source unit is fastened on a housing with a screw.SOLUTION: An optical scanning part (an optical scanner) includes a light source unit (a light beam emission device) 20 and a housing 40. The housing 40 is provided with a fitting hole 52 and a positioning pin 41. The light source unit 20 is provided with a fitting part 46, a positioning part 49, a fastening hole 44, and a screw head abutting part 45. The screw head abutting part 45 is formed to project to the screw head side in a shape of rib in comparison with the other region than the rib around the fastening hole 44, and provided in the region at the opposite side to the arrangement side of a lens barrel 32 with the fastening hole 44 intervening therebetween. The positioning part 49 of the light source unit 20 abuts on the positioning pin 41 of the housing 40 when the light source unit 20 is rotated in the same direction as the rotation direction of the screw in fastening the screw. |
