PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane separator capable of efficiently operating a membrane and extending an interval of chemical washing of the membrane.SOLUTION: The membrane separator is equipped with: a plurality of pipes 2a, 2b to which treated water w1, w2 filtered by a membrane element 4 flows out; a pump 12 which is provided for a single pipe 2c to which the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b are connected and sucks the treated water w1, w2 in the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b; flow rate measuring means for measuring flow rate of each treated water w1, w2 in the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b; flow rate adjusting means f1, f2 for adjusting flow rate of the treated water w1, w2 in the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b; an air diffuser 8 which diffuses air from below the membrane element 4; flow rate control means for, in the case where flow rate of either one of the treated water w1, w2 in the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b exceeds a flow rate limit, performing control of increasing a diffusion amount of the air diffuser 8 to the membrane element 4, to which a pipe having the smallest flow rate out of the flow rate of the treated water w1, w2 in the plurality of pipes 2a, 2b is connected, in order to bring the flow rate to the flow rate limit (q+α) or less. |
