PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a warning from being output at a wrong timing when a background object reflected on a road surface is falsely detected as a vehicle.SOLUTION: An in-vehicle surrounding environment recognition apparatus 100 recognizes other vehicles traveling around a vehicle by processing of a control unit 2 on the basis of an image captured by a camera 1, and outputs a warning from a warning output unit 3 on the basis of the recognition result. The in-vehicle surrounding environment recognition apparatus 100 determines whether a background object is reflected on a road surface around the vehicle on the basis of the captured image, and outputs a warning from the warning output unit 3 when the presence of the reflection is determined.
