PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from feeling a sense of discomfort in a traveling scene where uncontrollable steering wheel is generated by a road surface disturbance.SOLUTION: A vehicle body damping control apparatus comprises an input conversion unit 204, a vehicle body vibration estimation unit 205, and a torque command value calculation unit 206. The vehicle body damping control apparatus includes a load addition behavior control system which uses a front wheel load as one of control objects for the vehicle body damping control to assist a steering response corresponding to variation of a steering angle detected by a steering angle sensor 111. The load addition behavior control system comprises: a road surface disturbance determination unit 321a which determines the variation of a steering angle is caused by a driver operation or a road surface disturbance; and a third tuning gain change processing unit 321b which changes a control gain to suppress assistance of the steering response corresponding to the variation of a steering angle when the road surface disturbance determination unit determines that the variation of a steering angle is caused by the road surface disturbance.
