Embodiments described herein provide approaches for benefit promotion advertising in an augmented reality (AR) environment. Specifically, users are presented with an advertisement overlay generated for a video sequence from a mobile device. The advertisement overlay comprises a set of AR objects, and an incentive to the user to interact with the AR objects of the advertisement overlay. Responses from the user are recognized, and a benefit is provided to the user based on the response to the incentive. As such, advertisement campaigns in the AR environment are made more appealing to the user and, consequently, more effective for the advertiser. |
