A thruster device (1) is provided with: a thruster installation section (10) provided to a ship body and open at the top and the bottom; a storage seat (20) for storing a thruster (3) within the thruster installation section (10), the thruster (3) protruding downward from the thruster installation section (10); a mounting seat (15) provided at the ship body-side position at which the storage seat (20) is affixed; and affixation bolts for affixing the storage seat (20) to the mounting seat (15). The thruster installation section (10) is surrounded by and covered with a wall surface (13) constituting a part of the ship body structure. The wall surface (13) is provided with lock devices (30) for holding the storage seat (20) at the mounting seat (15) when the connection by the affixation bolts is released. The lock devices (30) are configured so that a locked state can be activated and deactivated from the upper part of the thruster installation section (10). Consequently, in order to enable the thruster of a drilling ship or the like to be inspected and repaired at an offshore working site, the thruster can be dismounted and moved by a simple handling device into the ship to a position above the water level.
