PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size and weight of a developing device and to stir and mix toner sufficiently.SOLUTION: A developing device comprises: a developing roller 61 which carries developer and rotatably conveys the developer to a position facing a photoreceptor 20; and a conveying screw 62 which is arranged in parallel with the axis direction of the developing roller 61 while facing the developing roller 61 across a partition plate 64 and conveys the developer in one direction, with a first opening 641 and a second opening 642 allowing the developer to move between the developing roller 61 and the conveying screw 62 formed in the upstream side and the downstream side of the partition plate 64 in the direction of developer conveyance by the conveying screw 62. In addition, a plurality of protrusions 66 for conveying the developer in the opposite direction from the direction of developer conveyance by the conveying screw 62 are formed at prescribed intervals on the developing roller 61 side of the partition plate 64. |
