A commercial vehicle further comprises a fuel tank 16 which is mounted on longitudinal member 14 by, for example, at least two straps 18. A step assembly 22 is mounted on the fuel tank 16 by means of at least one mounting assembly 36 which comprises a first tolerance compensation element in the form of a threaded rod 38 and a second tolerance compensation element in the form of a height adjusting plate 40. The threaded rod 38 and the height adjusting plate 40 are moveable in relation to each other between at least two different positions thereby adjusting the position of the step assembly 22 in relation to the fuel tank 16. Thus, by moving the tolerance compensation elements in relation to each other, the position of the step assembly 22 in relation to the fuel tank 16 can be varied or adjusted. Adjusting plate 40 is clamped between two nuts 48, 50 mounted on the threaded rod 38. The mounting assembly 36 may comprise a damper 42 and the threaded rod 38 is mounted to the damper 42. |
