PURPOSE:To obtain an amorphous magnetic alloy material for a magnetic head by providing a composition represented by a specified formula contg. Ru together with Fe, Co and Ni as Fe group elements and Si and B as vitrifying elements. CONSTITUTION:This alloy is provided with a composition represented by the formula, wherein M is >=1 kind of transition metallic element other than the Fe group elements, Ru and Cr, X is >=1 kind of vitrifying element other than Si and B, x+y+z+w=100 at%, x=62-77 at%, y=3-8 at%, z=0-4 at%, w= 20-26 at%, p+q+r=100%, k+l+m=100%, p=3-7%, r=0-10%, k=5-20%, and m=0-2%. |
