<p>An objective of the present invention is to provide a sealed beam-shape discharge lamp comprising a reflector which is optimized for each lamp. A sealed beam-shape discharge lamp comprises: a reflector having an open end on one side, a closed end on another side, and which is formed in a concave curved surface shape overall; a light reflecting surface which is formed in the inner circumference face of the reflector; a translucent cover (3) which is bonded to completely cover the open end side of the reflector; a metal base cap which is attached to the closed end side of the reflector; a light emitting tube which is positioned within a space which is encompassed with the reflector and the translucent cover; and ferrules which are respectively embedded in the reflectors and which are routes of two leads which respectively extend from both ends of the light-emitting tube. A region of the light reflecting surface on the closed end side of the reflector is demarcated for each lamp by a discharge within an outer sphere during evacuation caused by a high-voltage pulse.</p> |
