Cooling module (1) follows the shape of the rotating part or rotating parts of a transmission to improve the removal of heat from the inside of the transmission using an enlarged surface in the spatial region of the oil stream between the parts and the housing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Transmission with the above cooling module; (2) Construction kit for the cooling module; and (3) Series of transmissions with the cooling module. Preferred Features: The cooling module comprises a cast part with a spatial region for oil or water and cooling ribs and/or fingers directed into the inside of the transmission.
