<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system and a game program which allow players to play games holding a controller. <P>SOLUTION: A housing of the game controller can be held by a player with one hand. A direction indicating part is provided on the housing to produce a direction indicating input. A motion detection means detects the motion of the housing. A moving direction control means of a game apparatus determines the direction of moving objects appearing in the virtual game world according to the operation of the direction indicating part.
