<p>The assembly has an extruder (4), and a drive unit (2) that includes a main-three phase motor (10), a rotational speed-regulatable auxiliary-three phase motor (11), and a frequency converter to regulate rotational speed of the motor (11). A gearbox (3) is mechanically coupled at a drive side with the motors (10, 11), and an output side with the extruder. The unit includes a switch device (15) that is formed such that the converter is electrically connected either with the motor (10) or the motor (11). The motor (10) is directly, electrically connected with a power grid over a power supply (6). An independent claim is also included for a method for actuating an extruder assembly.</p> |
