PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ceramic honeycomb structure capable of manufacturing a ceramic honeycomb structure excellent in squareness.SOLUTION: A contour of the outer diameter size of a ceramic honeycomb dried body 50 is measured in a first measuring part Q1 and a second measuring part Q2 on the outer wall 63 surface of the ceramic honeycomb dried body 50, and the total of absolute values of each difference of four contours C1x, C1y, C2x, C2y measured at a first measuring point P1x and a second measuring point P1y of the first measuring part Q1, and a third measuring point P2x and a fourth measuring point P2y of the second measuring part Q2 is determined, and one end face 61 and the other end face 62 of the ceramic honeycomb dried body 50 are finished in the state where the four measuring points at which the total of the absolute values of each difference of the contours becomes minimum, on the outer wall 63 of the ceramic honeycomb dried body 50, are supported by a first pedestal and a second pedestal. |
