PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an electric compressor of an air conditioner for a vehicle.SOLUTION: An air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a blower which blows air into a vehicle cabin from a blowout port, a refrigeration cycle which circulates refrigerant through an electric compressor, an indoor heat exchanger which is provided in the refrigerating cycle and exchanges heat between the air blown by the blower and the refrigerant, an inside and outside air adjustment device which adjusts the rate of inside air and outside air included in the blown air, and blowing control means which controls the operation of the inside and outside air adjustment device so that when the difference between a target temperature Tao of the air blown from the blowout port and the outside air temperature Tam is less than a predetermined value, the blower is operated while the electric compressor is stopped, and the air containing at least outside air is blown into the vehicle cabin. Thus, if Tao is close to Tam, the electric compressor is stopped and the air containing outside air is blown by the blower so that the temperature of the blown air is close to Tao while reducing power consumption. |
