PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for reserving a power supply other than a battery in case power cannot be fed from the battery, so that a switching element of an inverter can be controlled in case the switching element is short-circuited and a motor generates electric power with the switching element short-circuited.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle disclosed in this description includes a motor for running, a power supply circuit, and a controller. The power supply circuit is a device that converts an alternating current, which a motor serving as a generator generates, into a direct current. The controller controls a switching element of an inverter in response to feed of power from the power supply circuit. The power supply circuit includes a transformer whose primary coil is connected to the motor, and a voltage regulator which regulates an output of a secondary coil of the transformer into a predetermined direct-current voltage. |
